AJ's funeral in Canada

December 3 Robs Dad Arturo Giovanni Tondini passed away. We made a quick trip up to Sparwood British Columbia to AJ's funeral. I was a good trip in spite of the situation. We had some quiet time with Rob and I. We got to spend time with Robs brothers. And we got to visit the cemetaries that have both of Robs grandparents buried. It was a time for reflecting on all our blessings. We have so much and have been given a great legacy. AJ has touched many lives and it was fun to talk and visit and share the memories. This headstone is in Fernie where the Tondinis are buried. Wonder if we can find it again.

This is Robs grandpa Eberts buried in the Sparwood cemetary. He was a coal miner his whole life. The area of Canada surrounding Sparwood is beautiful. I hope we can come back once in a while and visit here again.

This is Corbin where AJ first lived when he was born. It is beautiful up here. We drove up to Corbin and spread some of AJs ashes where he spent so much time loving the area. AJ would have picnics here all summer long. It was so beautiful to see on this winter day. It was a perfect ending to a wonderful day. AJ will be forever remembered.

My second day of a temp at PRESTO and got offered to work. I will be working days monday thru friday. Long days and hard work but so good to be making money again. You know I like to spend it. And now I wont have to clean house all day when I am home. Well see how it all turns out.

I spent a wonderful 10 days with Annikan and her family. She had her baby and ended up with a little more drama than we expected. Life is too short to be miserable. I came home and gave my two weeks notice. I have hated the negativity in there and hated myself lately so off with the old and on with the new. I felt so liberated to say my peace and move on. Now the serious of having to find a new job will be interesting. Dont know what I will do. Just want something new. Something POSITIVE and UPLIFTING. Something I want to get up and go to every day and not dread.......Well wish me luck cause I will need it. Bills will pile up soon enough.

I found out this morning a Friend from school had passed away. How sad it was. I had a friend post her obituary link and I went to it. I watched her slide show and just cried. She has such a beautiful smile and always looks so happy. I remember the good times we had in school. My sweet 16 Birthday was spent at her house and I got my promise ring from a friend. We had good times. It made me smile remembering the memories. Feel bad that I dont stay in touch with old friends. Also the slide show made me realize I dont take enough photos of HAPPY MEMORIES. I will hug my husband a little tighter tonight. I am so thankful for my blessing.

Just spent a great weekend in Nampa with my daughters and their families. I love them so much. I had so much fun. The grandkids are awesome and so dang stinking cute. I love the hugs they share with me. I hope they never get too old to hug and kiss their grandma. What would I do without them all. Life is good except for a little hole in the heart. But mostly just really blessed right now. I love my family they are wonderful. I have the best husband. He is good to let me do what I want when I want and for that I am so thankful. Spent a fun night visiting with old friends and wow how good it was to see everyone. Love ya Jamie and Gina. So thankful for LIFE and everything right now.

EASTER 2011

Annikan and Mike came home for Easter and Amber and Kelly came out and stayed. We had so much fun. I love it when my kids come home and we get to play with the grandkids. I know I am so blessed with my children and their children. We love our time with FAMILY!!!!! We had dinner with just us. The grandkids got to eat on the china. I served jello in my Grandmas dessert dishes. The kids loved eating out of them. We had an Easter Egg hunt. And I am still finding eggs in plants and other strange places where the kids hid the eggs later by themselves. They just forgot to find them all. We played with chalk on the cement and they played outside for hours. I even jumped on the tramp with them. We took lots of photos. Which I love to do. The cousins came over and played and we colored eggs and threw them down the driveway after dark. It was just a good time. I am so glad they came and we could PLAY.

Today Skyler blessed his little girl. Kyria Sky Petterborg. I hope I spelled it correctly. She was so beautiful. Her dress was darling. Mel said they got it at JCPENNYS. Skyler did a wonderful job. Rob was so honored to be in the circle. We love Skyler like a son. He is so good to us. We love Melanie she fits in so well with all of us. Saxon I decided is spoiled with all the aunts, uncles and cousins that play with him and take care of him. He is so loved by so many. So grateful for my nieces and nephews. I love them and I am so glad they let us be a part of their families. It was a great day. Of course that has a lot to do with all the food we ate and all the dessert. I thought there was more dessert than REAL food but it was all good.

Rob started a new job last week. He has been the manager at Your Valet for 6 years. He wanted ot find a job in Preston and not have to drive to Logan. He got a service writer job at West Motor. Now he is working in Preston. We get up together and have breakfast together and then have lunch together and then dinner together. That is alot of time together for just two people. Right now it is kinda cramping my style. But I will get used to it I am sure. The HARD part is doing my own laundry. I was spoiled with the drycleaning. Tonight I had to wash my own pants and IRON them. That was a joke. I will definately be looking for a better iron. My pants still looked wrinkled after I was done. Rob just laughs. Yes this is definately going to take some time getting used to. Changes.....sometimes they are hard at first.

I am such a slacker. I cannot believe I did not take one photo this year. What was I thinking. We cooked dinner at our house and had family over. I forgot to take a photo of the table. We had a small group. Just Mom and Dad, Amber, Kelly & Mckoy. Pam & Terry and all their kids. It was so fun having Kelsie, Joe & Keni and Zeb & Bryson. It was definately the most relaxing thanksgiving I have ever fixed. I loved it. I took off Wednesday and had 5 long days home. I loved every minute of it. Amber and Kelly came out Tuesday and stayed with us for the week. I love it that they just live across town and still spend the week with us. Mckoy was so fun. Yes we totally spoil him rotten. But he is so cute when he wants to watch "Doo". He love the Scooby Doo movie we bought him. How can we tell him no. We were so bummed when Annikan called and said they would not be coming. We were looking forward to the girls. We just hope they can come down in a couple of weeks.

I went shopping with Pam, Kelsie, Amber, Jen, Andria and Taylor on Black Friday. We had a blast. I was all ready to stay home and babysit. But I didnt have to so it was nice to go play. It is a fun tradition that we will have to keep up.

Woke up early with my husband and we went and helped hang christmas lights on Main Street. So much fun but way hard to do. I thought it would be a piece of cake but it was challenging. It was confusing on my first tree to get the plug ins right. So if the first couple of trees on South Main look funny, they are mine.
After Kiwanis service we went to Logan with Coburns and did a temple session. It was so nice. We have not been in ages and it felt so good. I really needed it lately. Life can sometimes be so challenging. It helps to have a little help once in a while.
Went to the Lamplighters dinner tonight and it was decorated so pretty with all the lights and trees. Music was beautiful and it is always fun to dress up and go out. Food was good but too much though. We had eaten earlier at Texas Roadhouse.

Today I had meetings at 8:30 this morning and when we got done with our Stake YM/YW meeting a little after 11 Michele suggested we go into the F3 ward and partake of the sacrament. It felt so good doing that. We missed our own ward sacrament meetings because of our stake meetings. There is such a good feeling sitting in a sacrament meeting that you walk out of there feeling so good. (warm fuzzy feeling) I come home and Rob and I discuss the separate meetings we have been to and the comparisons of the same subject talks that the High Council give. We sit down to lunch with just the two of us. I love it. I just love Sundays... We partake of the good uplifiting talks and start the week of with positive attitude. We can tackle the trials of the Week. Yes I really enjoy Sundays......Day of Rest and Spirituality....

We went to my sisters in Meridian for Thanksgiving and it was so fun. It was great to let someone else cook. Especially since her turkey is so much better than mine. Wayno makes the best dips in the world and I have never ever eaten as much food as they served. It never stopped. Loved every minute of it. Family is great. From Zach guzzling the apple cider to Kamree stealing a few licks of whip cream, not to mention all the PEPSI I let the grandkids drink. YEAH!!! Teaching them all to be PEPSI drinkers and stay away from their moms nasty MT DEW. Phils family was there also. His girls are getting so grown up and fun to play with. I think we need to make this a tradition and head to Boise every year. Who puts KETCHUP on a moist (did I mention the most moist turkey ever) turkey? Only someone from the sticks. Mom slaved over the delicious rolls. And Rob made his weird stuffing that has apples and sausage but it is so good. Pretty much everyone cooked but me. Gotta Love That!!! I got a lot of good photos of the family. Should of got more of all the guys falling asleep on the couches. Loved watching my COWBOYS win. Also it was fun to watch the Boise State Game. Even I was cheering for them.

Christmas Music

We just got done with our Sunday practice of our music Contada (?). It is so awesome to be apart of the singing. I am a horrible singer but Bonnie makes you feel so good and the spirit is so strong when we sing. The Stake youth choir is just amazing. We will be performing the first weekend in December and I can't wait to hear it in the final performance. I am nervous because I am scheduled to bear my testimony on the last Sunday practice and sometimes I am so emotional listening to the songs that I don't know how I will talk. This one song that says "I BELIEVE" just makes you all choked up and you can't sing. I just love the whole thing and I came home and ordered me a CD online so I can listen to the real music all season long.

Last Weekend Camping!!

We went camping this weekend with Pam & Terry & Doug & Kadee. We had so much fun. I took my camera but the batteries were dead. I was so bummed because the leaves were so pretty. Everything had such a pretty fall look. Amber and Kelly came up on Friday night and had dinner with us. Our traditional TIN FOIL DINNER. They were so good. I love them. Saturday was nice and not too cold. We sat around and played HAND & FOOT. It is such a great pasttime. Doug & Kadee have outside speakers so we listened to Conference. Kadee is so good she can name every speaker by just hearing their voice. Saturday night we cooked a great big dutchoven of TACO SOUP and it was so good. I was miserable for the whole night because I ate so much of it. It rained on us all day Today but we still stayed up camping until after 5. We had such a good time. I love camping and hangin with FAMILY and FRIENDS. Maybe just MAYBE we could squeeze in one more weekend of CAMPING. Probably not, oh well we ended with a good one.

Salsa and Watches

We had a girls night out. A bunch of us went down to Teddy's and learned how to make watch bands. We had so much fun. These are the watches that I made. I made two for myself and two for Annikan. The lady had so many BEADS. There was every color and every size. I have never seen so many to choose from. It almost made it hard to choose. I wanted to stay all night and make one of every color. Way too fun and I want to do it again. It was a nice break from my salsa and tomatoes that I have been doing. I have made four batches of salsa and four batches of bottled tomatoes. Friday I will do it all again. My house stinks so bad right now. Too many tomatoes. But I love them and I will be loving the salsa this next year.

Finally after 7 hours of church meetings today I get to sit down and watch football with my Hubby. However I do not like watching FOOTBALL with Skyler. He talks way too much smack about my COWBOYS. Dont even get me started about the lousy Carolina Panthers he cares for. With Sky living here we might have some good fights on Sundays. Hooray for the FOOTBALL season. RODEO WEEKEND!!
I love Rodeo weekend because everyone comes home and we all gather to watch the parade. It is my favorite pasttime of the weekend. Everyone sitting and waiting for the parade. And all the candy. Amber was a bully and would steal all the candy. We also have our annual Petterborg family reunion. We were all there this year. It was fun. Our family was in charge. It was fun to visit and hangout. A few weeks ago Rob and I went to Riverside Camping. It is just outside of Island Park. We had so much fun. It was a gorgeous campground. Each day we went exploring. One day was Island Park and one day was West Yellowstone. One day we went on the scenic route to the Falls on the way to Warm River. It was beautiful. This is the fishing spot that Kelly found when we were at the sanddunes. Kelly and Amber were busy and couldnt come with us. Kelly would of loved the fishing just below our campground. This is the Henry Fork River. We will definately be coming back here again. But not there is no hiking for me. Thank goodness. Maybe next year we could do a family vacation here. We did not get to go to a few lakes in Island Park. Next time!!!

Fun Times

Wow!! What a crazy month it has been...July 4th we had all of our kids!!! Yes all of them. I was great!!! Annikan & Mike came with their little girls (grandpas a sucker for when the say Grandpaaaa) Alexis is getting so big, Kamree is having fun with us, she really likes to ride in the old car (Thanks again Dad). And Shelby she is getting to be soo cute and fun. Amber and Kelly were here with Mckoy. Those three were down in St. George for a a few days with Amber being the JV Soccer coach, Kelly & Mckoy just enjoyed the sun and pool. Jeremy came over for Mckoys birthday party in the park and then came out to play volleyball and dinner. It was GREAT!!! Having the 3 kids home was a blast. They played volleyball while grandma tended the kids. We ate, played in the water and played and played. Then later that night Skyler & Brandon treated us to a fireworks show. Misty and Chey were there with their kids. The only down side was that Mom lost her camera somewhere (I think someone has it and just doesn't realize it. Too many diaper bags floating around here...)
So that was July 4th weekend. This past weekend Sandra and I went camping on our own. We grabbed some food and loaded the camper and away we went. We found a spot to camp on our third try and it was perfect. We just camped and enjoyed Gods country. We talked and walked, sat around and talked. It was very relaxing.
Today, Tuesday the 14th Sandra is at Girls Camp. I am loading up to go to Scout camp for 2 days. Sandra gets back late Wednesday. Then on Thursday she goes to Kylies(spelling) Wedding in Bountiful. Friday to Vernal for the Reception and Saturday return home. (Kylie I am so sorry I missed it).
The weekend of the 24th Sandra and I go camping again. This time up past Rexburg.
Time with the kids is Great, time with the Grandkids is even better, time with my wife is priceless (to steal a line)....But I love all my kids, always will and always have.
I think it is great that Amber and Kelly live here in Preston. I love having them here. I do not get to see the others often enough.
Remember to enjoy life, sometimes I forget & I'll see a picture of my mom and she reminds me to use my words and say " I love you" to those whom I do. Some will listen other won't, but I do, I love you guys. Thanks for being in my life. 12 years ago God put you in my path and since then my path has been "Glorious"...Thanks

I found these quotes today on a blog and I just love them. They are so true. They really make you think especially after the wild weekend we had on the Fourth of July. I love my parents for the example they set for me in marriage. I am so sorry that it took me so long to make the right choice for my marriage. I am so proud of my girls for the choices in their eternal partners. They make me so proud. I am eternally grateful for Rob and the marriage we have now. Boy....... it took a while to get there!!!!!! So a couple of weeks ago Rob won some tickets on the radio. He is always winning something on the radio. He won tickets to see Jay Leno in Wendover. I was thinking way cool. We can run over see the show spend the weekend and do some MAJOR GAMBLING and playing. It seriously has been 10 years since I've been to Wendover. Sometimes I get homesick for Elko. ( I miss the friendships we built there) We made reservations for Saturday night at the Peppermill for after the show. Friday morning Rob called and said lets head out early and stay in Salt Lake Friday. So we left in the afternoon and met Amber to give her Mckoy (I was babysitting on my regular Friday off) and we headed to Maddox for the best steaks ever. How could anyone ever be a vegetarian? Seriously? Red meat is so lucious!!!! I could eat it everyday. We headed to Target and shopped and went to the mall and shopped. And Rob said "leave some money for GAMBLING!" Of course. We stayed at the Crystal Inn in Salt Lake and had a nice room. We had a jacuzzi tub in our room and a large comfy King size bed. Needless to say we slept very WELL!! We got up Saturday morning and headed to Wendover. I forgot how boring that road to NOWHERE is. Oh look honey more sand. I somehow feel bad that we moved from there and my kids did not get to take their Senior pics on the Salt with Gene Russell. Anyway moving along. We got to Wendover and drove around the town to see the new changes. (Runner said it had improved?) The whole 5 miles of town was still the same! Okay some additions and remodeling on the casinos. But seriously the new gravel in the park with new swings was it. How come I dont remember Nevada looking so so so UGLY and BLAH. I forgot how it is all gravel and cement. NO LAWNS!!!!!! So we eagerly head to check into our room. But first a quick stop at the spa to get a pedicure. Go ahead Rob and gamble for a couple of hours while I get pampered. When I was done being spoiled I met Rob in the casino. BORING!!! We just lost money and the Casino STINKS. Did it always smell that bad? I went all the time and took my LITTLE CHILDREN all the time. We ate there alot. We walked through those rows and rows of tables and slots. WHAT WAS I THINKING???? I could hardly wait to get to the show to see Jay Leno so we could sit in a NON SMOKING ROOM. The show was fun. He was funny and entertaining. But afterwards I could of drove to Salt Lake and stayed at the Crystal Inn again. We did some more Gambling (Is that what they call throwing your money away) It was not even fun. Because you can not even drop quarters in anymore. You can only put in paper money and when you win there is no CLINK CLINK just a ticket that prints and you have to cash it in to get your money. BORING!!! I must be turning into a boring MOLLY MORMON where was the fun in this? What happened to me in the last ten years. Where did I go or should I say DAMN I grew up! That was the weirdest weekend ever. Loved spending some one on one with Rob. We always love our time together. Loved talking about the past and planning for the future. But dang we got OLD, RESPONSIBLE, and CHURCHY. Not needing the gambling fix anymore. Next trip we'll see the show and have fun driving BACK TO SALT LAKE and spend the night there.

Week with the GIRLS

There is nothing better than hanging out with the grandkids!
Annikan let us take Alexis and Kamree home for the week. We had so much fun with them. Of course we had to turn on the sprinklers and run through them.
Mckoy came out and played with us. The girls were so cute with him. One day Kamree had the two of them rolling on the floor just a laughing. She was good with him and would make him giggle.
One day we went to Alco and bought $1 purses and made them. They were so easy and fun. I am sure they wont last a week.
Kamree loved to pose for me. Finally I got pictures of her. Her mother never takes enough for me.
This is pajama night on the night before they left. We slept out in the trailer and had fun. Almost like camping but without the dirt. (Sorry Annikan about the nightgown,we dont watch the Simpsons. NOT US!)
One night we went to Artic Circle and played on the toys. Of course we ate all our food first.

One night we went for a ride in the back of the truck. Kamree was so facintated with this. But she does not sit without an adult we found out.

Nampa for Alexis Birthday

We went to Nampa for Alexis' 5th Birthday and of course we went to Build a Bear and got stuffed animals. Meet Flower the Puppy of Kamrees and Chloe the Lamb of Alexis'.
We took them to church with us but left them in the car while there.

Annikan had a birthday party while we were there and Mike and Rob and Kim filled up water balloons and gave to the girls to play with. Of course they eventually ended up on Grandpas head. The girls had fun getting him wet. Especially Macie.
It was a MAKEUP party with decorated faces and painted nails. Check out the pretty BRIGHT colors they have. WOW!!!

Last weekend we went to Annikans and delivered my Piano to the girls. I decided they could use it more than me. I never play anymore and I would love for them to learn on it. I cant believe I did not cry. It was the only thing I wanted out of my divorce with Shane.

Tommorrow Alexis Ruby Dean will be 5 years old. I cant believe how fast that has gone by. It was just yesterday that Annikan told us she was pregnant. I feel such a bond with Alexis because Annikan and Mike shared so much of the pregnancy with us. Everything from the day they found out to all the Dr Appts, pains and every movement Alexis made. The weeks prior to her birth were so exciting. The day before Alexis was born Annikan called and said she was having a few contractions. We of course raced up to Pokey and hung out all day. We were so excited we just about bought everything in sight getting ready for her birth. We wouldnt go home so we got ready for bed and just as we were falling asleep Annikan and Mike woke us up and we headed to the hospital. We were up all night long and still no baby. It wasnt until the next day she finally came. It was so cool that Mike and Annikan let us be in the delivery room and part of the birth. I took so many photos it was awesome. Thank you Mike and Annikan for sharing it all with us. We love Alexis Ruby so much she will always be very SPECIAL TO US!!! Happy Birthday ALEXIS RUBY we love you very much. Cant wait to see you later today.

I worry about me kids and the problems they face. I know I cry alot about Jeremy and worry that we will never have a good relationship with him again. I worry about the grandkids that everything is okay with them. And then as if that is not enough, you have neices and nephews to worry about. Why cant we just all get along and live happily ever after? Why is there so many problems is the world? Why cant we wave magic wands and make everyone happy? ESPECIALLY THE CHILDREN!!!!!!! Cherish every moment with everyone you know because you never know what will happen.

I am so glad that I get along with my siblings. It was nice last night to go to Phil and Andrias with Pam and Terry and our families and have a little cook out. We sat around the fire and ate (NASTY HOTDOGS) I dont even like them. We had cooked marshmallows that were perfect (thanks to Amber) and just sat and talked. It is so great to have FAMILY!!!! I love all of you!!!

Happy Birthday Honey!

Today is my husbands 39th Birthday.
I cant believe you are not yet 40. When will that day ever get here. Next month we will have known each other 12 years. Where did the time go. We have been through so much. He is everything that I could of ever wanted. He has taken such good care of me and my children. I cant help think where would I be without him. Funny how our lives change when we come to fork in the road of life. Who knew my divorce would be so wonderful. I love you so much and I am so glad we are sealed for eternity with each other. Weekend in Spokane

In 1970 my father,A.J. Tondini, bought a 1914 Model T touring car while living in California. That same year I was born. Thirtyeight years later my dad passed that antique car down to me. This car has travelled from California, Oregon, Washington, Brithish Columbia, Montana, and Idaho. It still runs great. Yes it actually runs!! A few turns of the crank, and then a few more, then switch people cranking and it fires right up. Sandra and I went to Spokane to pick the "T" up, My brother Gene was also there to help fix any small items that needed fixing on the trailer and the "T". We are so excited to drive the car this summer!!!! Can't wait to take all the grandkids for a ride in Grampa T's "T". On a side bar note, lunch at the Thrifty Scotsman was as delicious as it was in High School, I even brought home some of the special tarter sauce...Yummy!!!! (if you've been there you know what I am saying)

Monday night Rob thought we should start bike riding again. Yes it has been a long time. We jumped on our bikes and went over to BIshop Petersons and had a great visit with them. When we left it was getting dark and a little chilly. I said lets hurry home. And two houses down there was a BIG LARGE DOG that came barking after us. It chased Rob and then turned on me I was afraid of wrecking so I almost came to a stop when the DOG chomped on my BUTT. He bit hard and I was so shocked. I hurt so bad. The family was out side and trying to stop the dog from chasing but didnt quite make it. We kept heading for home. And I could not sit or ride. Sometimes I just walked and wanted so bad to get home. When I got home all the family was there. Pam and Terry and Dillan and Mom and Dad. I pulled down my pants and there was this huge gash. They all gasped and said you better go to the hospital. And when I say they ALL yes I mean even DILLAN. He got a good look. I went to the hospital and got 7 stiches. Thank goodnes Heidi was there to take care of me. She took the first photo for the police report. And yes we are a demented family and the next photo is day 2 with the first of the bruising. Now day 3 with the black sreading bruise. Yes it is so tender and sore. I couldnt sit the first day and hardly moved the second day. I thought I was tough and went to Logan with Pam on Wed and about died. I came home after hours (yes HOURS) of walking I cried until Rob came home and helped me clean my wound and then cried myself to sleep it hurt so bad. Today I am going to just be lazy and rest. I so need it after the week.

Yesterday I had ward conference in the Cub River ward. My talk was on being disappointed by a child and how much that hurts. I compare it with Our Heavenly Father being disappointed in us when we make the wrong decisions. I had a hard time talking through my crying because I did not know that Kylie would visit with her mom that day and come to Young Womens. She just brought back alot of emotions. Having been divorced twice and struggling raising my children none of those challenges were as hard as the last year with Jeremy. I have never experienced someone elses choices affecting me so much. Not even Shanes blatent infidelity did not hurt as much. I am so grateful for a husband that stood by me through it all. His support is so amazing. We are becoming so connected and really as one. I never thought two people so different could become so alike. I love that guy so much. I love my ward conferences. They are so spiritually uplifting but when I get home after hours and hours of meetings I am so drained.

We got to watch Alexis play a soccer game. That was fun. It was her first game. She was so cute. I cant believe how grown up she is getting. It still seems like yesterday that she was born. How time flies when your having fun.

We went to Annikan and Mikes for Easter and spent it with the girls. We had so much fun. It has been forever since we've been to Nampa. We definately need to make the trip more often. The girls are getting so grown up. I had fun taking lots and lots and lots of pictures of them. Yes!! they love to pose for photos.

Greetings everyone. Just a quick note to let you all know about an upcoming event. On Friday March 13th, at 7 pm in the Robinson building. The Franklin County Republican Committee will be holding its annual Lincoln Day Banquet. This year we are excited to have Ron Anderson, an author on a book about Abe Lincoln. This should be an exciting night to learn of the leadership of the 1st Republican President. Is it not interesting the our current President want to liken himself so much to President Lincoln. We can only hope that the current President can show some leadership qualities of President Lincoln.
